Large Polyp Stony (LPS) corals are defined by their hard calcareous skeletons topped with large, fleshy polyps.
Unlike their SPS counterparts, these species often inhabit deeper reef zones, generally requiring moderate lighting and gentle to medium water flow.
This group is highly valued for adding movement in the aquarium, with species such as Euphyllia (Torches and Hammers), Micromussa, and Chalices displaying significant intensive colours .
